Gail Campbell

Gail Campbell - Stockmans Owner.

Gail runs the business from The Matford Centre Head Office, 7 days a week. She has built up a strong team, with a diverse range of skills, running all Three restaurants and outside catering events selling local, traditional rustic fayre.

Gail was born in Guildford, moved to Exeter when she was young and grew up a Devon lass. She started working for the company that started with humble origins over in Haven banks, back in 1989 washing up. She soon moved up the ranks through IT and accounts, learning all aspects of the Catering trade. In 2004 Gail took over the company.

In 2006 the company expanded it's static catering outlets and built 'The Hideaway' opposite 'Crealy' on the Sidmouth Rd. Then in Spring 2012, 'Stockmans' won the tender to run 'The Ridge' café up at Haldon Forest Park.

In Her precious time off, Gail loves to visit Devon's glorious beaches.



Alison Creasy - Business operations.

Alison works with Gail on the operational side of 'Stockmans.' She joined in 2011 broadening their horizons through business networking, applying for tenders and streamlining the business further. In 2012 Alison won the very competitive bidding process to run 'The Ridge Café' up at Haldon forest Park.

Alison grew up in Surrey, but after studying at Exeter University, decided to join her love of catering and the outdoors and stay in Devon. She has over Twenty years of experience in Managing catering services, most recently working with the Catering team up Exeter university.

Alison loves spending time in the outdoors growing food and gardening with her family.

John Leach

John Leach - Head chef.

John teamed up with Gail and Alison as head chef in 2012, overseeing all of the outside catering events, all Three restaurants and creating delicious food whilst planning seasonal menus, using locally grown and reared produce, where possible.

Devon born John spent many years of his career, working in the catering trade in New Zealand, in fine dining establishments, vacation homes and on super yachts. He pays amazing attention to detail, from the choice of flavours right through to the presentation, creating traditional dishes with a modern twist.

John loves sailing in his spare time and moors a boat on the picturesque river Exe.






Andy Lobb - Chef.

Andy was born in Peterborough, but from a young age grew up in Silverton, Devon. He trained at Exeter college and then worked in many local establishments, moving to Australia for 7 years to gain some different catering experience.

Andy loves to cook in a modern fine dining style with an Asian twist, using the best of Devon's produce.

He enjoys fly fishing in our local reservoirs and mountain biking with his family.
